G.A.P. at the Gravenhurst Farmers’ Market

Community connection is at the heart of everything we do, and our presence at the Gravenhurst Farmers’ Market is one of the many ways we stay connected to the people we serve. Our market stand is more than just a place to share information about our services—it’s a space for conversation, community engagement, and building awareness of the work we do to reduce poverty in Gravenhurst.

You can find us every Wednesday at Gull Lake Rotary Park, Brock St, Gravenhurst from the first Wednesday in June to the second Wednesday in October.

A Hub for Community Engagement

Since joining the Gravenhurst Farmers’ Market, G.A.P.’s stand has become a hub where market-goers can stop by to learn more about our programs, ask questions, and find out how they can get involved in supporting our efforts. Whether it’s discussing our Food Programs, Transportation Services, or Wellness Initiatives, the market stand provides a friendly and approachable setting for us to connect with neighbours and visitors alike.

Our volunteers who run the stand are always ready with a warm smile and helpful information. They are the face of G.A.P. at the market, representing the care and compassion we strive to bring to every interaction in our community. For those interested in volunteering, donating, or learning more about our impact, our market stand is the perfect place to start.

A Place for Connection and Awareness

In addition to distributing fresh produce, our market stand serves as a place to raise awareness about important community issues. We use this platform to educate market-goers about the realities of poverty in Gravenhurst and how they can make a difference. By engaging with the community in a bustling, lively environment like the Farmers’ Market, we’re able to reach a diverse audience and spread the message of compassion and collective responsibility.

Sharing Fresh Produce with the Community

One of the most important initiatives tied to our presence at the market is our Fresh Food Giveaway program. Many families and individuals in our community struggle to afford fresh, healthy produce, and through this program, we help bridge that gap. At the Farmers’ Market, we collect surplus produce from local vendors, which is then distributed to neighbours in need as part of our food program. This initiative not only supports local farmers but also ensures that our community members have access to nutritious food.
