Needs Assessment
Gravenhurst Against Poverty’s vision is to be compassionate and community focused. The purpose of the 2020 Needs Assessment Project is to listen and respond to those individuals we know who are most affected by poverty. Through in-depth telephone interviews conducted by 18 volunteers, we hope to better understand the challenges being faced by the nearly 400 individuals currently registered with our food delivery program.
The Survey Questionnaire is divided into the following topics:
• Food Security
• Access to Transportation
• Assistive Devices and Personal Care Items
• Access to Technology and Connectivity
• Missing Programs/Services
• Volunteer Opportunities
The survey was launched the first week of December 2020.
The results of the Needs Assessment will be used to inform Gravenhurst Against Poverty’s future program and budget direction. Information will be shared with local agencies who have common interests with G.A.P.
